SPRINT Work Readiness
4 & 18 October 2024
Hi friends! Under the SPRINT banner, we organise activities and events to boost your professional profile.
Coming up in October is our Work Readiness module to equip yourself with the tools and skills needed to land your dream job. In this 2-part workshop, you'll learn how to craft your CV to help you land the interview as well as tips and tricks to crush the interview. And of course how to keep going when you get rejected.
This module will consist of:
Session 1: CV Workshop, Friday 4 October, 17:15
Session 2: Mock Interviews, Friday 18 October, 17:15
How to participate
To participate, here is what you’ll need to do (and this is what’s going to happen):
Identify a real job posting you’re interested in: this will be the job you will target throughout this module, with your CV, Cover Letter and (possibly) Mock Interview.
Prepare your CV and Cover Letter and submit them by Monday 30 September at the following link: https://forms.gle/zZ1tkjMYP7zFifN16. There are plenty of resources (templates, tips, etc.) online: use them! But we’ll also share some of our own in the next couple of days. You will receive feedback on your submission by email by Thursday 3 October.
Attend the CV Workshop on Friday 4 October (even if you are not actively participating by doing the steps above, you will benefit from attending). In this session, we’ll give feedback on the CVs and Motivation Letters we will have evaluated, and we’ll take you through some job-hunting best practices.
Attend the Mock Interviews on Friday 18 October, either as an interviewee, if selected, or as an observer.
